On Sunday August 26, 2012 the Arnprior Lions Club held its draw for an Apple iPad at Robert Simpson Park. The lucky winner was Ghislaine Clouthier of Arnprior. Since Ghislaine is away from town at the moment, the prize was accepted by her mother. Also in the picture are Lions Rob Brooks and Brenda Bennett.

1157 tickets were sold over several months. $1529 profit will go to the Arnprior Fire Department.

As part of our 60th anniversary, the Arnprior Lions Club did a fundraising project that would see a house being built and then sold with the profits going to Lions projects for the betterment of our community.

The Lions Club worked in partnership with members of the construction industry including government, property developers, trades people, material vendors, and financial institutions to achieve our goal. Our partners received advertising and publicity in the form of newspaper coverage, web site advertising and bill-board advertising at the building site. Partners also got the recognition and satisfaction that they have contributed to a very important community cause.
